The upcoming sewing bees are this Thursday May 4 and next Thursday May 11 from 11-5 @CWA - I look forward to seeing whomever can make it then.
We are making 100 bags for a Council event (due on May 16) - a good opportunity to reach a section of the community not so engaged with the issue.
We are also aiming to have 2000 bags made for our town (by August 17) which is our one year anniversary of our launch in town :-) - YAYYYYYYYYYY !!!
Thank you all for your help and support. We are ramping up our efforts to get Boomerang Bags leading the way in town so as to move away from plastic bag use.
Just a reminder to please help by leading the way yourselves by using your Boomerang Bags whenever you shop and by having the conversation with others why they should support the initiative.
ANY and ALL support on websites, newsletters, newspapers, Facebook - you name it - it all REALLY helps spread the word. I’m always happy to speak, present or provide an update anytime. The more that MORE and more of us in our community show support for Boomerang Bags in Dungog, the more that we will have the voice we need to persuade the IGA to ban plastic bags sooner rather than later.
MANY thanks and best regards,
